Aron Gabor`s exhibition entitled Labyrinth of Light displays phase photos and computer-graphics produced during his 1989 on-stage performances. These works strongly interlink with the topics of his oil paintings and large works on paper created in 2012. Right from the beginning his art was characterized by picturesqueness interlaced with relaxed but strong graphic elements. The influence of Miklós Erdély and the Indigo-group can also be traced in his oeuvre through correspondences in the easy and natural use of various media. The different layers slipping into each other and mirroring each other play an important role in his paintings, graphic art, experimental films and installations. The strong color contrasts built on very smoothly detailed warm and cold hues, and his esoteric motifs carry references to the artists of the new sensibility while his investigative pursuit, his informal use of media and his experimental attitude relate him to the last generation of neo-avant-garde.
