Milan Image Art Fair 2014

solo show of Ildikó PÉTER

Faur Zsófi Gallery is pleased to announce its participation at Milan Image Art Fair (MIA) with the solo show of Ildikó PÉTER.

It is the third time the gallery participates at MIA: in 2012 we presented the works of Gábor Arion Kudász while in 2013 we exhibited the series of Gergely Szatmári. This time, we will showcase the works of Ildikó Péter, an emerging photographer focusing on urban transformations, exploring the notions of past and present.

Ildikó Péter has been selected by the Jury as finalist of the BNL Group BNP Paribas Award. The award, created with the cooperation of the organizers of MIA Fair, is dedicated to photography and videos, represents a new opportunity to confirm the interest of BNL in the development of culture and in the research of contemporary art in Italy.

Ildikó Péter (1982, Budapest) won the André Kertész Photography Prize in 2009 and was a finalist and received a special mention from the jury of the Leopold Bloom Art Award in 2013. She exhibited in Ludwig Museum Budapest and at the Hungarian National Gallery in the framework of the group show ‘Hungarian Photography in the New Millenium’. Her works are in the collection of the Hungarian Museum of Photography.

In the framework of MIA, we will present two of her series: the Northern England, The Industrial Revolution Route and the Constructions and Spaces.
